Sweeping silence

No one had talked for a while now, For a moment before it was unimaginable to even think that people could stay together and not talk, let alone the talking, but utter a word.

The silent moment changed into another moment and then another moment, the whole day passed. No one spoke a word.

Everything else is the same, all the other activities have been performed in the same way as they have been for ages, in a swift manner, perfectly coordinated.

Food is being prepared, the washing machine is swirling, the news channel on the TV, keyboards are clicking, dogs barking and reels scrolling. But no human voice to hear.

No emotions to be seen, faces without expressions, and eyes without any focus are scary.

Everything is exactly the same, but no human voice.

I do not know what everyone is thinking, all I can see is there is turmoil in their heart, with no will to speak.
